Lost faith in ever receiving the ordered PICs. Considered National Semiconductor's USBN9604, controlling by a simple PIC16F628 seems not very difficult. Sample order received in 3 days! Soldering SMD parts seems impossible for an inexperienced and under-equipped person like me. How could I get PICs from another source?
